J. Skydancer is a Cape Cod based sonic alchemist of ambient music. He improvises sonic meditation journeys using a varying array of instruments, vocals, electronic effects and percussion to emulate crystal singing bowls and natural vibrations, constructing a hypnotic sonic environment.
The intention behind these sonic explorations is to tap into cosmic energies and shift the listener's consciousness toward deeper states of understanding, acceptance, and forgiveness, through the merging of paradoxical/opposite concepts and emotions.
Participants are encouraged to come open-hearted and intent on observing and reflecting on the subconscious mind. Wear comfortable attire and bring a yoga mat or blanket (pillows welcome too!) so that you’ll be relaxed for this sonic experience.
Tea will be offered before and after the sound journeys, and we’ll dedicate time at the end of the session for sharing and meditating on our individual and collective experiences of the journey.
About Todd Goyette (joining on May 3):
Todd Goyette is an experimental musician who conjures ethereal sonic tapestries from ambient textures and the ancient rhythms of world music, guiding listeners into trance-like realms of altered consciousness. Through improvisational, spontaneous compositions, he seeks to awaken the sacred spark of creativity shared between musicians and audience—a wordless communion where sound becomes ritual and the boundary between performer and listener dissolves.
