Movimento Project Presents "Somewhere Forward"

Contemporary Dance Concert at Thacher Hall August 28 & 29

“Somewhere Forward” is a new concert exploring the intersection of movement, memory, and hope. Choreographed by Leda Muhana and the talented artists of Movimento Project, this concert invites audiences to embark on a journey through shifting landscapes—both physical, psychological and emotional—capturing the spirit of resilience, diversity and innovation that defines contemporary dance today.

This work has been generously supported by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod as well as the Mass Cultural Council thru grants from the Wellfleet, Brewster, Orleans, Chatham and Harwich local Cultural Councils.

Movimento Project is a contemporary dance collective dedicated to creating innovative performances that challenge and inspire audiences. Accessibility Note - PLEASE BE ADVISED: Thacher Hall is a historic building and does NOT yet have a lift/elevator. This program will take place in multiple locations on the property including outdoors, upstairs, and in the lower level. The audience will be asked to follow the dancers to various locations throughout the performance and will need to stand for certain portions of the program.

Parking Note: There is NO parking at Thacher Hall. Parking is available just across Route 6A from Thacher Hall around the Common, as well as at the Post Office and Chapter House Inn. Crossing attendants will be available to assist with crossing Route 6A at the designated crosswalk in front of Thacher Hall. If you need accessible parking information, please email events@thacherhall.org.

Ticket revenue pays artist/dancer fees and enables Thacher Hall to share the arts with the Yarmouth Port community.
