About the event

All are welcome to attend a concert featuring the Cape Cod Drumma Queens!

The Drumma Queens are an all women's drumming ensemble that create an electrifying atmosphere filled with the rich, polyrhythmic sounds of West African rhythms with traditional djembes, dunduns and other percussion instruments. The performers don't just play - they embody the music through spirited singing in various West African languages and dynamic, synchronized dancing that brings ancient rhythms to life.

Audiences can expect to be swept up in the infectious energy as the intricate layering of rhythms builds and flows, creating moments of thunderous intensity and delicate musical conversation. The ensemble invites audience participation, encouraging people to clap, move, and feel the communal spirit that's central to West African musical traditions.

Each performance is a celebration of the transformative power of rhythm that leaves audiences feeling uplifted and deeply connected to something larger than themselves. The combination of musicianship, creative expression and pure joy creates an unforgettable experience that resonates long after the last beat!
