This six-week dance workshop is designed around discovering personal movement motifs, connecting and interacting with others and exploring the possibilities of shared movement. Through guided exercises, creative play and collaborative practice, participants will develop meaningful dance duos rooted in curiosity, trust and authentic expression. This is an all-ages, all-ability opportunity to find in oneself and others the common & diverse threads that connect body, experience and potential in art and life.
Leda Muhana and Dave Iannitelli have directed the Movimento Project since moving to Brewster in 2015. Their background and goals include exploring contemporary dance-making as art, education and community building.
Parking Note: There is no parking at Thacher Hall. Parking is available just across Route 6A from Thacher Hall around the Common, as well as at the Edward Gorey House, Post Office, and Chapter House Inn. Please cross Route 6A at the designated crosswalk in front of Thacher Hall. If you need accessible parking information, please email events@thacherhall.org.
