About the event

All are welcome to attend a celebration of the return of the historic tracker organ to Thacher Hall, 266 Route 6A (Main Street) Yarmouth Port, MA 02675. The organ was built in 1872 by William Horatio Clarke and recently restored by Andover Organ Company.

Members of the Cape Cod and the Islands Chapter of the American Guild of Organists--  Maggie Bossi, Deb Gemma, Charlene Higbe, Paula King, Joan Kirschner, Mark Lawlor, David Martin, and Lois Toeppner-- will present a variety of short organ works. Where else can you hear eight fine organists playing at one concert!

We will also have the opportunity to sing a hymn from the Hall’s past as the Church of the New Jerusalem (Swedenborgian). This hymn will be played by one of the previous organists from the Church. We will also join voices in a new hymn written to celebrate this evening’s concert by Chapter member Michael Smith.

You won’t want to miss this exciting concert which is being presented as a community event, asking just a $5 donation to the Organ Restoration Fund to enjoy this unique concert (cash or check).

Parking Note:  There is no parking at Thacher Hall. Parking is available just across Route 6A from Thacher Hall around the Common, as well as at the Post Office and Chapter House Inn.
